DDW BAG

A bag made out of bracelets of the DUTCH DESIGN WEEK 2019. Mariko first got inspired by recycling thes bracelets when visiting the DDW 2018. Although the bracelets were already made out of recycle plastic bottles She was shocked that again this turned into waste after the event. Mariko decided that these materials deserved a third life which was not intended for single use and would even contribute to limiting the use of plastic bags. For creating the bag she handpicked and manually sew over 200 bracelets which were laid into an intuitive pattern.
