This wearable came to life during the pandemic when human touch was scarce. Many people missed the comfort of hugs and being close to others. To help with this, Mariko designed a shoulder piece that mimics the feeling of a friend's embrace. It's made of woven cotton, weighted with white ceramic pieces arranged in a comforting, intuitive pattern.
